(Hong Kong, 5 Jun 2017) KALLISTA, a leading designer and supplier of luxury kitchen and bath plumbing products, unveils the Script collection, which includes a series of one-of-a-kind decorative crystal knobs created in collaboration with storied French crystal manufacturer Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis). KALLISTA also launches the Per Se collection to pay homage to the design movements of the 1950s and 1960s that celebrated simplicity of form over the complex fluting or layered details of earlier periods. Both assemblages honor and articulate the ethos behind the KALLISTA brand - to live artfully.
Script Collection - Traditional in Character, Modern by Design
In addition, KALLISTA unveils a brand-new collection, Script, which is inspired by the heralded Gilded Age of late 19th century America. Traditional in character, modern by design, Script delivers a chic bathroom series with myriad components to transform any space into a respite of sophistication and impeccable taste, embracing the aesthetic of the era. A complete suite of discriminating design, Script suggests a transitional statement of thoughtful pieces that work together, yet have the stand-alone ability and classic presence to dress an existing space with easy adaptability.
Two central components to Script are a new KALLISTA faucet design and an elegant Blush Bronze finish, which is exclusive to this collection. The Script faucet is offered in two styles: a low spout featuring a perfectly scaled design and a slightly curved neck; and an arch spout, which true to its name, has a graceful, sweeping gooseneck. The spouts on these timeless silhouettes flare softly for a lush release of water, with stylized sides that soften as they taper along the faucet neck before terminating to the slightly stepped and inverted base. Meanwhile, the new KALLISTA Blush Bronze living finish is a warm golden hue that resonates with burnished undertones, its satin finish imparting a soft glow and silky hand. The faucet is also offered in KALLISTA Nickel Silver and Chrome living finishes.
The striking, complete bathroom collection includes: a console table with new custom leg options; sink and deck mount low spout and arch spout faucets; crystal and enamel decorative lever and cross handles; floor-mount bath fillers; wall-mount bath spout; showerhead; showering controls and components; and a range of accessories.
Script Decorative Crystal Knobs by Saint-Louis Redefine Luxurious Living
The KALLISTA collaboration with Saint Louis continues in the Script collection, presenting a series of one-of-a-kind decorative crystal knobs, each handcrafted by the French crystal manufacturer’s gifted artisans. Each a work of art in its own right, the two-dimensional color is highlighted through the hand-cutting process, the exposed layers culminating in a faceted effect like that of a finely cut jewel. The Saint-Louis crystal designs are offered in sparkling Clear, dusky Flannel Grey and Dark Blue shades.
Script Decorative Enamel Works Lever and Cross Handles
In addition to the Saint-Louis cut-crystal knobs, KALLISTA introduces enamelled decorative lever and cross handles in hues of white Frost Wave, smoky Flannel Grey Wave, iridescent Celeste Blue Wave, and multi-coloured Spring Rain. Reminiscent of the finely detailed enamel and cloisonné jewelry popular during Victorian times, the same techniques are applied to craft these artful handles. The hand-painted mould design is fired four times to seal the colors and impart an indulgent glossy finish. The Frost Wave, Flannel Grey Wave, and Celeste Blue versions are decorated by a fluid series of lines that follow the handle’s form and a shimmering, shifting coloration that reflects the light as it travels across the surface. Spring Rain is an intricate botanical and hummingbird design in a breathtaking color palette that naturally engages the eye. The silky soft finish of the handle adds to the overall sensual experience presented by these beautiful works of art.
Rounding out the collection is a full range selection of showering components, including the Script floor-mount bath filler, wall-mount bath spout, showerhead, and showering controls and components available in Frost Wave, Flannel Grey Wave and Celeste Blue with corresponding Blush Bronze, Nickel Silver and Chrome KALLISTA living finishes.
Per Se Decorative Collection presents Crystal Sink Faucet Knobs by Saint-Louis
Debuting in 2014, the Per Se collection evokes sleek, contemporary forms that employ minimalist detail and chic couture-inspired styling. The newly announced Per Se decorative collection, produced in partnership with Saint Louis, adds an element of elevated luxury to the range and proposes a subtle yet decorative lever design with unique semi-precious inserts that beautifully juxtapose against the warmth of KALLISTA living finishes.
The one-of-a-kind Per Se Clear Crystal Sink Faucet Knobs are handcrafted by Saint-Louis artisans, an appointment not easily achieved as each apprentice must train for at least 10 years before being welcomed onto the team of illustrious master glass blowers and cutters. Renowned for its crystal works since the early 19th century, Saint-Louis continues to create rarefied designs using the same Old World techniques of hand blowing and hand etching that have been passed down through generations. The hand-cut and polished stacked crystal knobs reflect a pure beauty with a sparkling jewel-like appearance that complements the metal base offered in Polished Chrome, Nickel Silver, Black Nickel and Polished Gold KALLISTA living finishes.
